Description
Authentic Handcrafted Buzuq by Adel Bahjat Kasho (Qamishli, Syria)
Hand-built by master luthier Adel Bahjat Kasho in Qamishli, Syria (dated November 1, 2022), this professional-grade buzuq is designed specifically for playing authentic Kurdish folk melodies and Arabic maqamat. Featuring precision-tied microtonal frets, it offers the exact quarter-tone intonation and fret adjustability needed for modal systems such as Rast, Bayati, Hijaz, and Nahawand.
The instrument is crafted with an alternating light-and-dark tone-wood ribbed bowl in a high-gloss finish, paired with a fine vertical grain soundboard. It features a traditional floral wood marquetry pickguard below the soundhole, neck purfling, and an ornate heel clasp with an integrated metal hanging loop. For reliable tuning stability and smooth adjustments, the headstock is fitted with engraved mechanical geared tuners with pearloid buttons.
