Description
Turkish Oud (Türk Udu). The back of the bowl (gövde/tekne) is made from stripes of two different colored woods. The front face (ön kapak) has three sound holes (ses deliği) covered by carved wooden rosettes (ahşap oymalı kafes). There are colorful shell inlays (renkli sedef işlemeler) on the dark pickguard (mızraplık) on the front, and similar shell inlays on the back of the body near the neck (sap).
